Life is an ever evolving process and we tend to get very much tied into our own personal experience of it.
Mine has seen massive changes as I've moved from my 50's, into my 60's.
Over the past 10 years or so I had more or less become an unpaid carer for two very close people,
both of whom suffered from long term degenerative illnesses.
One, my partner of 28 years was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
This progressed to the point where it let her bed bound for three years. She passed away in Jan 23.
The other, my mum developed rheumatoid arthritis, suffered a series of strokes which left her bed bound,
and she passed a few years prior.
Over those years I developed a kind of zen like detachment towards most things.
I can almost close my mind to the emotional side of these things.
I believe it was a defence mechanism I installed to be able to work with the situation
without being overwhelmed by the emotional impact of what was happening.
There is frequent reference to people making changes to their lives.
This can be by individual choice, But more often it is forced upon us by
events which fall outside of our control. To the point where we are forced
to re-evaluate our current circumstances. This is what happened in my case.
During the previous years, I had been living and working in what to all intents and purposes
was a reactive state of being. The desire now was to create a more pro-active
state of existence where I could work on the things that I wanted to achieve.
I had felt the need to both understand and make changes, but never really knew
how to or even where to look. This is what brought me to NLP.
Initially I'd heard about NLP through the works of Tony Robins, so I looked at
videos online by a wide array of different practitioners,
For me it offered a series of solutions where by I could create a more
balanced and focussed mind set, and create a new vision of life for me.
So I visited a number of websites and took courses both online and correspondence
and eventually received my practitioner and master certificates
The pace of change for me has been massive, and the new tasks and roles I have
adopted and continue to enact are expanding in pace and depth.
The desire to learn and do has become almost obsessive as shown
by the fact I'm sitting down at a computer writing my bio to a webpage.
On reflection, achievement is an ongoing process, even under the most difficult of conditions.
In fact sometimes the most difficult thing about it is allowing yourself
the pleasure of recognising those achievements
During that time I realised I had accomplished virtually everything
I had ever set out to do with my passion in life.
Which has been a lifelong love of the guitar in it's many derivatives.
This was simply to write record and publish an album of self written
material. This has been repeated several times over the years

After technically reaching retirement age at 65 I decided to try and realise another goal which is
to set up an e-commerce business to create both awareness of, and to retail my own products.
This is where I decided to set up The MRG Promotions platform in which to do this.
I have created a series of products in one of the niches I intend to explore and develop.
With plans to expand into further areas into the forthcoming months.

What life has taught me is that, as we travel through it. We experience a massive array of
events on a daily basis. The power we have, is how we choose to react to those events.
That is the way we define our lives.
All the best
